Unitree IPO demand explodes

Unitree’s planned Shanghai listing was reportedly oversubscribed more than 5,000 times, a striking signal of investor appetite for China’s humanoid robotics sector. The company is best known for agile quadrupeds and increasingly capable humanoid machines, positioning it at the intersection of industrial automation, embodied AI and consumer-facing robotics. Such extreme demand suggests public markets are beginning to price robotics as the next AI hardware platform, not a niche factory-equipment category. The debut will be watched well beyond China because domestic capital, supply-chain depth and state industrial policy could accelerate Unitree against Western rivals still dependent on private funding rounds.
