Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5 is emerging as a lower-cost alternative to Fable 5 for generating animated, interactive websites using integrated AI tools and workflows.
Opus 5 is priced at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens, exactly half the cost of Fable 5, which charges $10 and $50 respectively. This significant reduction enables developers and designers to produce complex visual outputs without rapidly exhausting budgets. Despite the lower price, output quality is described as broadly comparable in many use cases.
The Claude desktop app now supports a “code” environment where users can select Opus 5 and control effort levels for tasks. This setup allows end-to-end creation workflows—from prompting to final output—without switching tools.
