ElevenLabs has launched Music V2, an AI system capable of generating professional-quality music with advanced editing, multilingual vocals, and seamless genre transitions.
ElevenLabs has expanded beyond voice synthesis with the release of Music V2, a platform that allows users to generate full music tracks using artificial intelligence. The tool is publicly accessible, operating on a credit-based system with both free and paid usage tiers.
The system produces tracks ranging from 30 seconds to 10 minutes with output formats suitable for professional environments. High-quality MP3 exports are available, alongside formats designed for integration into production workflows, signaling a push toward industry adoption.
Users can generate music through simple or highly detailed text prompts. The model also supports structured composition input, allowing creators to define arrangements and song architecture, offering a level of control typically associated with human production.
The platform includes native-sounding multilingual voices, enabling songs in languages such as French with realistic vocal delivery. It can also incorporate sound effects like clapping, doors, or horns, as well as coordinate multiple instruments and singers within a single track.
One of the standout capabilities is its ability to execute smooth transitions across genres within a single composition. Tracks can shift from classical to metal to K-pop while maintaining coherence, demonstrating sophisticated handling of musical structure and style blending.
Borrowing from image-generation techniques, Music V2 introduces localized editing, allowing users to regenerate specific sections of a track. For example, a chorus can be modified independently by adding or adjusting instruments without disrupting the overall composition.
Early impressions highlight that the output does not carry the typical artifacts associated with AI-generated music. The listening experience is described as natural and engaging, opening possibilities for rediscovering niche styles or experimenting with unconventional musical ideas.
Alongside Music V2, ElevenLabs released an upgraded Dubbing V2 tool, improving voice translation and dubbing quality. This reinforces the company’s broader strategy to dominate AI-driven audio production across music and spoken content.
With Music V2 and enhanced dubbing tools, ElevenLabs is positioning itself as a major force in AI-powered audio, potentially reshaping how music and voice content are created and produced.
