How 8news.ai produces its content
8news.ai is an independent tech-intelligence project, built and run solo. Every surface of the product is generated by a documented pipeline — here is exactly how it works, and where the human sits.
Sources
Two pipelines feed the site. The first ingests 400+ hand-picked RSS feeds from tech, AI and robotics publications. The second follows a curated list of YouTube channels and transcribes their videos.
Sources are selected and maintained by the owner — feeds that turn low-signal are removed. No source pays to be included.
AI scoring
Every ingested article is scored from 1 to 10 by a large language model against explicit criteria: novelty, technical substance, and impact for people who follow tech and AI professionally. Scores are displayed everywhere the article appears — 8/10 and above is highlighted.
The score decides what surfaces: the Top 24h selection, the per-topic daily summaries and the newsletter all read from it.
What the AI writes
The per-topic daily summaries, the Daily Podcast bullets, the full companion articles (750-1250 words, with cited sources), the video summaries and the audio narration are AI-generated from the scored articles and the video transcripts, in English and French.
Every generated piece links its sources. Nothing is presented as human-written reporting: 8news.ai summarizes and organizes the day's coverage, it does not break stories.
Where the human sits
The owner curates the sources, the topics, the prompts and the scoring criteria, monitors the pipelines daily, and fixes or removes content that misfires. Corrections: [email protected].
