We operate with many verticals and each relies on shared drives, real-time document editing and chat channels to coordinate tasks. During disasters, our structure shifts into matrix response mode and Google Workspace becomes even more critical. It gives us speed and coherence, which are vital when managing crisis operations. When we were starting exploring AI tools, the key factors we considered were really about dignity, scale and mission alignment. Our goal is to free up our social workers from handling general information queries or administrative follow-ups. They take away time and attention from what our teams do best: providing personalized, highly specialized support to vulnerable individuals and families. A major requirement for releasing cash grants is verifying student attendance in schools, which comes from thousands of schools in the form of report cards and class records.
