GPT-6 Astra is being used to build games, 3D worlds, engineering models, music, educational media and business tools, showing a rapid shift from simple prompting to agent-driven creative and technical workflows.
Early builders used Astra inside tools such as Unreal Engine, Blender, Ableton, Final Cut Pro, SolidWorks workflows and browser-based 3D apps. Instead of generating one-off images or snippets, the model was used to coordinate assets, edit files, pass tests and produce outputs that remained editable after creation.
Matt Schumer built an Unreal Engine civilization populated by AI-controlled characters told to cooperate and survive, creating the eerie effect of a virtual population conversing on its own. He also gave Astra roughly one week to construct a recognizable Manhattan, refining the city street by street with existing assets and orchestration tools.
Code Rabbit used Astra on Night Shift, an action RPG in GDAU and GDScript, growing it to seven character classes, a 988-node passive skill tree and a campaign spanning 40 zones across 10 acts. The team also added co-op and made the game accessible to agents, creating a loop in which the model could help build the game and then potentially play alongside users.
Ash created a browser-based Tesla Model X visualization with 334 modeled parts that can be pulled into an exploded view. The same approach was applied to anatomy using the BodyParts3D dataset, producing an interface with 2,234 selectable meshes that lets users inspect structures and move between anatomical systems.
Ethan Mollick used Astra to turn Zork from text adventure into a 3D action game, forcing visual and spatial decisions the original never specified. Separate projects reconstructed the Library of Alexandria, the never-built 1784 cenotaph by Boullée, and the battlefield of Waterloo, showing how AI-assisted workflows can turn descriptions, sketches and references into navigable interpretations.
Clairvo connected Astra to a Divoom Bluetooth pixel display speaker, producing software, an app and command-line tools for drawings and animations. Another project converted a raw incomplete 3D scan into a reconstructed CAD model usable in SolidWorks, while additional demonstrations involved circuit boards, car transmissions and building reconstruction from phone photos.
Pro Shirano linked Astra to Ableton through MCP, reporting that it created synthesizers, musical parts and a full arrangement with editable structure. In education, Daria Unutma assembled a five-minute explainer on T cells with animation, narration and on-screen information, while editors tested first-pass work in Final Cut Pro and related creative software.
Duncan Trussell had Astra build a Backrooms horror short in Blender, adding VHS styling, sound and camera work after roughly five prompts, about 30 minutes of work and another 20 minutes exporting. Other projects included a PS1-style Beyblade game, an anti-gravity racer, a Van Gogh-inspired 5v5 shooter and a walkable town built from six paintings.
A documented After Flash session ran for about 28 minutes, edited 20 files and passed 80 automated checks, suggesting a workflow closer to software development than novelty generation. In another case, the same game prompt was reused by a second developer, providing a rough test of repeatability rather than relying on a single polished demo.
Alongside the creative showcases, the strongest business case remained automating repetitive work for small companies, including lead follow-up, appointment booking, invoice chasing and common customer support questions. The broader implication is that AI agents may find their first mass-market value not in spectacle but in replacing routine operational tasks that already carry clear budgets.
The Astra experiments suggest AI agents are evolving into collaborators that can operate across creative software, codebases and physical interfaces. The main question is no longer whether they can produce demos, but how reliably they can deliver useful, editable and economically valuable work.
