Anthropic has introduced Artifacts in Claude Code, enabling teams to generate and share live, interactive dashboards directly from development workflows and connected apps.
Claude Code now includes a built-in Artifacts feature that allows users to transform ongoing work into structured, visual outputs displayed alongside code. These artifacts function as interactive pages rather than static text, offering a clearer way to present complex processes, data flows, and project summaries within the development environment.
Unlike earlier artifact implementations in Claude.ai, the new system emphasizes live, structured dashboards. Instead of parsing dense text outputs, users can view organized visuals that break down workflows, tools, and logic into digestible formats, improving readability and usability for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A central feature is the ability to generate private shareable links that always reflect the latest version of an artifact. Teams can access up-to-date dashboards without repeated exports or manual updates, reducing the need for status meetings and asynchronous explanations.
Artifacts can pull data from a wide range of sources connected to Claude Code, including codebases, Gmail, Slack, and Google Calendar. This allows teams to consolidate operational data and development progress into a single, unified interface.
The system builds artifacts using the full context of a session, including conversations, connected tools, and code repositories. This enables automatic generation of comprehensive dashboards that reflect ongoing work without requiring manual documentation.
Complex processes such as content scraping pipelines can be converted into visual dashboards showing tools used, step-by-step execution, and scoring systems. This replaces raw logs or fragmented notes with structured, shareable explanations.
Users can create artifacts that aggregate calendar availability, email activity, and workload indicators into a single view. For example, a shared dashboard can display meeting schedules, unread emails, and optimal times for collaboration, helping teams coordinate more efficiently.
Native integrations can be expanded using external tools like Zapier MCP, allowing connections to additional platforms such as Buffer. This extends artifact functionality beyond default integrations, enabling broader workflow automation and data aggregation.
The feature is currently in beta and restricted to Team and Enterprise plans, with reported access costs around $150 for team-tier usage. Shared artifacts are also limited to users within the same organizational workspace.
By turning development activity into continuously updated dashboards, artifacts reposition documentation as a byproduct of work, rather than a separate task. This reduces friction in communication and increases transparency across teams.
The introduction of live, shareable artifacts in Claude Code marks a shift toward integrated, real-time collaboration, turning development workflows into accessible dashboards that unify code, tools, and team communication.
