Anthropic has launched a small business plugin for Claude featuring 31 automated “skills” that integrate with tools like QuickBooks, Stripe, and Gmail to streamline operations.
The new plugin packages 31 predefined “skills” designed for small business workflows, available directly inside the Claude desktop app. These skills act as reusable automation scripts combining instructions, triggers, and outputs. The bundle has already reached over 423,000 downloads, signaling strong early adoption.
The system connects to widely used platforms including QuickBooks, PayPal, Stripe, HubSpot, Gmail, Slack, and Google Calendar. By pulling data from multiple services simultaneously, Claude can execute cross-platform workflows without requiring users to switch between apps. This reduces operational friction for small teams managing fragmented software stacks.
One flagship feature, Business Pulse, aggregates financial, communication, and scheduling data into a single report. It analyzes revenue streams, outstanding payments, meeting schedules, and inbox activity, then produces a concise operational summary. The tool also flags risks, such as overdue invoices or delayed clients, and identifies a top daily priority.
Another key feature, Invoice Chase, focuses on accounts receivable. It scans QuickBooks and Stripe for overdue invoices, evaluates customer payment history, and assigns a reliability score. Based on that score, it drafts tailored reminder emails—ranging from polite nudges to firmer follow-ups—and can send them after user approval.
The Job Post Builder skill automates recruitment processes. After receiving inputs like role description, salary range, and qualifications, it generates a full hiring package including a job listing, interview guide, and offer letter. It can optionally integrate with DocuSign to send contracts for signature, turning a multi-step HR process into a single command.
Each skill operates as a structured workflow triggered by a keyword. Once installed, users can invoke complex processes—such as reporting, hiring, or financial tracking—simply by calling the skill name. This turns natural language prompts into repeatable business operations.
The plugin system includes integrations from major software providers such as Figma, Zoom, Adobe, and Canva, alongside business-focused tools. Anthropic positions plugins as modular bundles that can be shared across teams, simplifying deployment of standardized workflows.
Functionality depends on “connectors,” which link Claude to external services. Users grant permissions to apps, allowing Claude to read and act on data. The platform supports hundreds of connectors, with additional coverage possible through Zapier, which extends access to over 8,000 apps.
Claude Co-work operates within a user-selected desktop folder, storing outputs such as reports, documents, and generated files locally. This approach blends AI automation with traditional file-based workflows, making outputs immediately usable without additional exports.
The plugin is designed for accessibility, enabling non-technical users to deploy automation without coding. By abstracting workflows into prebuilt skills, it lowers the barrier to adopting AI-driven operations in small business environments.
Anthropic’s small business plugin signals a shift toward integrated, task-oriented AI systems that automate everyday operations across multiple tools, potentially reshaping how small teams manage finance, hiring, and communication.
